At the top of my list of places I wish to travel to: Seoul, South Korea.

This is a city which I have dreamed of visiting for many years now. Once I have the money, I will be coming here ASAP. When that happens I'll be taking pictures and videos of everything I encounter!!
After I have made it to Seoul, one of the top attractions I want to visit will be Gyeongbok Palace, or in Korean 경복궁.

This palace was built during the Joseon (조선) Dynasty. It was also the largest of the 5 Grand Palaces: Changdeok Palace (창덕궁), Changgyeong Palace (장경궁), Deoksu Palace (덕수궁), and Gyeonghui Palace (경희궁).
Another location in Seoul will be the Namdaemun Gate (남대문) or as it is known officially, Sungnyemun (숭례문). This gate is translated as the Great South Gate, one of three main gates from the Joseon Dynasty.

Namdaemun is considered South Korea's number 1 National Treasure. The gate, which was built in the 14thCE, was burned down in 2008, but after undergoing reconstruction, has now been/or should be sometime this year restored to its former glory and open to the public.
Sharing the same name, next on my list is Namdaemun Market. An open air market where it is open 24 hours a day.

This market has been open for centuries and remains a must-see when visiting Korea for a true sense of Korean culture. And you can always haggle with shop keepers for cheaper prices (it's actually recommended).
Cutting through the heart of Seoul is the Cheongyecheon Stream (청계천).

Back in the 70's this stream was covered by an overpass which remained until 2005 when the stream was restored and opened up to the public. At first the $900 million project was criticized by the population; but it is now considered a favorite place by locals and visitors alike after seeing the beauty and success of the reconstruction.
And the last for this post, the Korean War Memorial.

The Korean War lasted from 1950 to 1953 and was merely halted by a Cease Fire agreement. No Peace Treaty has been signed so technically, the war is ongoing. Many soldiers from around the world lost their lives in this Forgotten War. This was the MOST significant part of Modern Korean History, so taking a day to learn about the war and remember those who lost their lives is an absolute must.
